Welcome To Surendranagar Muncipal Corporation
The Surendranagar Municipal Corporation is officially established by Government of Gujarat in exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (2) of the article 243Q of the Constitution of India & Published through notification no. - KV-19,20,21 OF 2025 - UDUHD/COC/e-file/18/2024/5957/P Section - on January 1, 2025 by merging the area of Surendranagar-Dudhrej-Wadhwan Nagarpalika i.e. (Surendranagar,Dudhrej, Joravarnagar, Ratanpar and Wadhwan) with five villages —Khmisana, Kherali, Malod, Mulchand, and Chamaraj as a part of the Surendranagar Municipal corporation's jurisdiction & also appointed an administrator to oversee the corporation's operations until the first election of councillors is conducted.
Additionally,To enhance administrative efficiency the Surendranagar Municipal Corporation has formed 13 administrative wards which divides into two zones, namely the North Zone and the South Zone, separated by the Bhogavo River. The North Zone is located on one side of the river, while the South Zone lies on the other by way of forming 13 administrative wards.
The Surendranagar Municipal Corporation plays a vital role in fostering the growth and development of the region , ensuring better governance and public service delivery for its residents.
